Everyone, with special services for people new to the UK.

Description

Provides a range of practical and emotional support services to anyone infected, affected or simply worried by HIV, living in Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

Support for people living with HIV, including a positive self-management programme. HIV awareness, advice and education. Rapid 20-minute testing for HIV with pre- and post-test counselling. Contact phone number: 01905 767000 (leave a message if no-one is available and your call will be returned).

Practical support

Medication adherence, coping with side-effects, antiretroviral advice, benefits/work/education, debt/money matters, disability, transport to hospital/clinics, hospital visiting, home care (shopping/cleaning), access to respite care, prescription collection and delivery, access to complementary therapies.

Emotional support

Befriending, counselling, coping with diagnosis, pre-test discussion, post-test discussion, advice on HIV and sexual health, living with HIV, disclosure – who do you tell?, caring for people with HIV, addressing prejudice and stigma.
