Everyone, with special services for children and families and people new to the UK.

Description

Offers primary health care services to homeless people in Leicester. Self-referral directly to the service, which is for people who are rough sleepers, homeless or staying in hostels.

Jointly led by a GP and Consultant Nurse, the service also includes two female GPs, a specialist practice nurse, the practice manager and two receptionists/administrative assistants. All services are free and confidential.

Services Offered

GP and Consultant Nurse consultations for diagnosis, treatment and medical certificates;

Health checks e.g. blood pressure, asthma, diabetes, weight, urine tests;

Contraceptive services, maternity medical services and minor surgery services;

Sexual health promotion, vaccinations, health promotion and preventative health care;

Weekly visiting therapist for common mental health problems (a GP or Consultant Nurse referral is needed for this service);

Acupuncture for muscular and joint problems.
