Everyone, with special services for children and families, gay men and people new to the UK.

Description

Provides nursing support and specialist advice to those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS regarding physical, psychological and social needs affecting health.

Advice & support

Around sexual health and safer sex issues (supply of condoms).

HIV testing service

Adherence support

Through education and assessment of need for adherence aids such as medications boxes, timers and assistance with filling with medications, medications management, ensuring adequate supplies of HIV and non-HIV drugs. Monitoring of side-effects and drug interactions.

Emotional support

Especially for people newly diagnosed or with changes in health i.e. support in disclosure and testing of partners, starting HIV treatment, changes to treatment, drug resistance etc. Support for those co-infected with other illnesses e.g. tuberculosis (TB) or hepatitis.

Advice & support around pregnancy

In relation to getting pregnant (including information for discordant couples), HIV treatment during pregnancy and care during and after delivery of baby.
